Our History
Our History

From entrepreneurship to energy sovereignty.

VoltWatt is the renewable-energy arm of a twenty-year industrial journey — a multi-subsidiary group spanning France, Luxembourg, Romania and the MENA region, dedicated to building European energy sovereignty.

Our story

Two decades of building, one mission for the energy transition

VoltWatt is the renewable-energy chapter of a twenty-year industrial journey. The group's founding team began in technology in 2006 with HGT Telecom — a European pioneer in IP telephony, acquired by Bouygues Telecom in 2010.

A second chapter opened in 2015 with SnatchBot, an AI platform specialised in NLP and voice recognition, today used by over 300,000 companies worldwide. In 2016 the group entered renewable energy with the acquisition of Qualiwatt — a French leader in photovoltaics and battery storage that today completes over 1,000 installations per month and was named Best Installer 2024 by EUPD Research.

In 2025 the group launched VoltWatt, Power Benz and VoltInvest to build a fully integrated renewable-energy operator across the value chain — from equipment distribution and installation to collective self-consumption, participative financing and large-scale generation.

Our Activities

A 360° European renewable-energy operator

VoltWatt develops, builds, acquires and operates assets across the entire renewable value chain — solar, onshore and offshore wind, energy storage, hybrid plants and future green-hydrogen projects.

Solar power plants

Ground-mounted, floating and agrivoltaic — full value chain from site selection to O&M.

Agrivoltaics

Solar systems integrated with farming (livestock, low crops, orchards, greenhouses) co-designed with farmers.

Battery storage (BESS)

Stand-alone or hybrid (solar + wind) storage systems, essential for a sustainable European transition.

Green hydrogen

Solar parks, wind farms and storage powering electrolysis across Europe.

Onshore wind

Onshore wind farms developed, financed and operated as part of the integrated portfolio.

Offshore wind

Fixed and floating offshore wind, a key pillar for large-scale renewable production in Europe.

Repowering

Pioneer in France for the second life of European wind farms through circular-economy repowering.
